Role Overview
The eCommerce Manager is responsible for the planning, development and implantation of JPAG digital marketing strategies and communications, both internal and external. The eCommerce Manager will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the JPAG eCommerce team who create, implement, and perform continuous maintenance on the company's website fleet.
The eCommerce Manager reports directly to the President of the Jim Pattison Auto Group. The executive-level eCommerce team reports to the eCommerce Manager, in addition to the Internet Specialists located throughout the group.
Technical Requirements
Successful candidates must demonstrate
· Advanced understanding of digital marketing, including
- Website Development & Management
- Social Media
- Lead Conversion
- Analytics and Reporting
· Previous experience in the following areas would be asset
- SEO, SEM, Display Marketing
- Dynamic Content Creation
- User Experience/Interface
- CRM and DMS
- IT Systems and Management
- Graphic Design
- Traditional Marketing Experience (Paper, Radio & TV)
- Experience/familiarity with the automotive industry
General Requirements
Successful candidates must demonstrate
· The ability to lead others, both in person and remotely
· Advanced planning and organization skills
· The ability to research and provide strategic vision and direction for the group
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to large groups of executives
· Excellent writing ability, able to effectively produce high level documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Training Materials, Proposals, etc.
· Excellent time management and motivation
· The ability to competently select, manage and negotiate with preferred partners
· Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and high pressure situations
Other desirable qualities include creativity, flexibility and a sense of humour.
Other Details
A bachelor's degree in marketing, Internet marketing, management information systems or general management is preferred, but not necessary. In addition, applicants should have a strong background in website design and Internet marketing. Master's certificates with an emphasis in search engine marketing, affiliate marketing or HTML coding would be a plus. Moreover, an MBA degree with a concentration in information technology, marketing or e-commerce is ideal.
Experience: Minimum 7 years
